Due to the global supply disruption and shortages, we are having problems getting some of the raw materials used to manufacture our hoods. One is the specific dye in our resin to make it the yellow that ages to the dark brown many of our customers are familiar with. Many of the hoods we will be sending out in the next few weeks will be a variety of “natural” resin colors, as we use up old stock and send out new stock. Please expect these color variations- Dark pencil yellow, burnt orange, brown, and a very pale brown. All will continue to age naturally as resin does and our original resin that will ship with those darker colors will end up a deep brown and eventually an almost burgundy color. Black will be black, but yellow will slowly be termed “natural” and for the foreseeable future will ship as the pale tan/brown color. It will darken to brown but we don’t know how dark it will eventually go. Please be patient with our disruption/change as we have been working months on a solution and this was the only option to keep our hoods at the current price point. There will also be more out of stocks on the “yellow” as until the market settles a bit and we can get full runs on the production. Thank you for being our customer!

Our Lightweight Pancake Welding Hoods Are precision handcrafted from phenolic, basla, and pine woods.  They have a contoured balsa box ready for custom-fitting.  They are of a one-piece pressure formed phenolic faceplate and folded ear guard design.  All models accept "cheater" lenses, have easy side or bottom loading with closures, and are available in Black.  Our most popular models are Z-87.1 ANSI approved and OSHA accepted.  Smaller models are available; however, they do not provide the approved and accepted coverage (Listed as old style on website).
